Well, the weeks sure do go faster when there is no work or school on Monday!  We have been enjoying some unseasonably warm weather here in Maryland and some great time with family to go along with it! In addition to extra family time, which is at the top of both our lists here is what we love this week:

This wagon, (pictured here with the canopy off and with his hat on because the sun was going down and I, being a first time mom, of course freaked out about him getting cold)  L got the chance to ride in H’s at the Christmas tree farm this year and he LOVED it!  For Christmas, my parents go him his own and he has the best time going for a stroll around the neighborhood in it on these nice warm days!  It is a bit on the expensive side, but it is worth it as we have already gotten a ton of use out of it!

This twist on our usual tacos by the Garlic Diaries. We usually use the taco shells from a box or tortillas but the lettuce makes it a bit more healthy.  We did add some extra fajita style peppers and onions in.  It is perfect for us because my husband loves tacos and we have them about once a week! (It’s even 21 Day Fix approved)

This Is Us seriously, this show gives me all the feels.  I love it, and I so enjoyed catching up on it this weekend by staying up a little too late and the other day when L was napping.  If you are looking for a new show to get into, check it out!

Okay, I have to second This Is Us! Cannot get enough of that show. I haven’t watched last nights episode yet (no spoilers please!) I plan to watch (and cry a lot) tonight. Seriously, that preview last week…

Hello Fresh. Remember how I did all that menu planning Sunday? Well I woke Monday to find an email saying my box had shipped. I forgot to pause our week! We usually only order a box when we’d like to treat ourselves. It feels like a bit of a splurge, but it’s also such a convenience to have all the ingredients prepped for you. Not to mention, the quality of the meat/seafood they send is awesome. We made a ginger beef stir fry last night and both of us even ate the asparagus! Asparagus is one of the few veggies I highly dislike, and hubs isn’t big into most veggies. They were delicious though! Maybe I’ve been doing asparagus all wrong these years. I may have to give it another chance. If you’d like to try Hello Fresh for yourself, you can sign up here and save $40 off your first box.

Last but not least, I’m loving that my hubs suggested becoming “cord cutters” (FINALLY!) I’ve wanted to do this for years, as I’m not much of a tv watcher (besides a few staple shows I can stream). I’m always looking for ways we can cut back and save some money, but live sports have always been the deal breaker for him on this one. Thanks to a few new streaming options for hockey and football, we may do it after all. It’s strange how excited I am for this. Now to figure out how much longer we are contracted with our provider for. Stay tuned – I’ll definitely share more as we make the switch!

What’s getting you through this week? Also, if any of you have cut cable, we’d love to hear how!
