Hip, hip hooray, its Saturday! Whew, this week was a long one! I don’t know about you, but sometimes I just need a little toast to myself for making it through the week! Crystal and I both love our coffee, (who doesn’t) but sometimes, life deserves a little bubbly! I love classic mimosas but every now and then I like to mix it up with a little twist. When my friend Andi suggested I make star-shaped cookie pops for Harper’s 1st birthday, I thought she was crazy. She’s the baker, after all. That being said, once she walked me through a few simple steps, I felt confident to make the pops on my own. So confident that I’ve decided to make them as Valentine’s gifts for my friends and coworkers. These would be perfect for little ones also!

Picture this, its 8:00 on Sunday night and I am sitting on my couch trying as hard as I can to forget about the fact that Monday morning is fast approaching. Then I realize, once again, I didn’t make it to the grocery store this weekend. Luckily, I have enough food in the house to scrape together and make breakfast and lunch for the tiny human and myself. A few choice words run through my head as I think about braving the grocery store on a Monday, after work, with a toddler. (If you have done this before, you know it is not for the faint of heart) I know I need to have a battle plan, a strong one. I will also need crackers, lots of crackers to avoid any level 5 melt downs in the produce section! (more…)
